Power Camp Summer Programs

What made an unforgettable summer?

For today’s young sports enthusiasts, that’s getting the best teachings from only the best trainers to develop their full potential. That is what they get from being part of the summer programs of the Alaska Power Camp in basketball and football.

The Alaska Basketball Power Camp was a one-stop-shop for the young basketball aspirants, ages six to 22 years old, as they learned new skills and techniques from Assistant Camp Director Danny Lastimosa and basketball icon Jojo Lastimosa. Each session taught them the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie with each session. The Alaska Basketball Power Camp program held was simultaneously in two venues, Xavier University Covered Courts in Cagayan de Oro City and Ateneo de Manila College Covered Courts in Quezon City from April to May 2007.

Meanwhile, football enthusiasts from 3 to 18 years old had a blast learning the sport from Tomas Lozano, a former professional Spanish football player and now Camp Director for the Alaska Football Power Camp and with his team of professional footballers.

With sessions at the Alabang Football School, Makati Football School, ASCOM Fields, NOMADS Fields and Bonifacio Football Club, hundreds of participants got the best training in football trough such activities as exercises, drills and scrimmages. These young players were not only introduced to the sport and its basic rules, they also went through a rigid program that put their endurance, skills and determination to test.

By the end of the clinic, which ran from April to May, students who showed remarkable potential for the sport were given special recognition and awards.
